The other day to a sports online action thriller Fall guys released a fresh update 4.5. And, as we could see thanks to the service SteamDB, it was accidentally added source… And not only the main game, but also the released add-ons.
Ironically, the folder containing the source code is automatically named by the engine BackUpThisFolder_ButDontShipItWithYourGame (“Create a backup, but don’t share with the game“).
The bug was quickly fixed, but the files might still be on the network. And access to the source code can make it easier for the creators of various game dishonesty. Studio Mediatonic and publishing Devolver digital have not yet commented on the unintentional leak.
