Commenting on recently published financial report, senior financial director Sony Hiroki Totoki admitted that despite the huge audience interest in Playstation 5, the company is now simply unable to meet the existing demand – production workshops are faced with a shortage of parts.

“Ramping up PlayStation 5 production with limited semiconductors and other components is a challenge for us. Right now, we cannot fully meet the demand of the audience, but we continue to work hard to supply users with as many consoles as possible,” explained Hiroki Totoki.
