Rumors about the return of Battle Royale have been around for a long time, but now the developers have introduced a new cinematic trailer in which you can find bold hints. Apparently, the card will be called Verdansk (the city was featured in a single player campaign), and instead of a storm, the characters will run away from a cloud of poisonous gas.
One of the locations was also demonstrated – the international airport, which makes one suspect Activision that Verdansk is actually understood as Donetsk, and the local analogue of Donbass will be the battlefield. This is also hinted at by Goust’s commentary, which says that local soldiers are fighting each other.
Autumn rumors
Last year, some details of the regime leaked to the Network. But further information so far should be taken solely as an unconfirmed hearing.
According to an insider, the studio is responsible for creating the Battle Royale Raven software. At the same time, the developers allegedly tested the possibility of increasing the maximum number of players to 200.
The team also intends to revise the revival system. During a search of locations, special tokens can be found. To start the resurrection procedure, the body of the partner must be delivered to the ambulance.
After that, the fallen comrade will fall into the Gulag zone, in which he must win against another player, waiting for his turn. During the fight, the rest of the “dead” can bet on the winner using the loot.
It is noted that at some point the Gulag will close to prevent endless respouts. You can spend only one token on one player. The files also mention the “Prison Break” event, which will allow all “prisoners” to escape.
The modes themselves are standard: Solo, Couples and Squads. One of the six mission types can be unlocked on the map (you can take one mission per squad). In the case of a series of murders, killstrikes are opened.
