At the presentation Playstation 5 last thursday Insomniac games showed two games for the non-xstgen console: Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart. Around the first there was a little confusion, while the authors of the continuation of “Ratchet and Clank” immediately provided a lot of information, held a demonstration of the gameplay and showed a cinematic trailer, at the end of which they lit up the mysterious female character.
The new heroine immediately became the object of close attention of the fans, but it was not entirely clear whether she would become playable or just appear in the plot. Insomniac Games clarified this point yesterday: you can really play for her.
The developers have not yet revealed the identity of the character, but confirmed that this is a representative of the Lombaks race from another dimension. The question of her abilities also remains open – judging by the trailer, in addition to the hammer, there will still be a robotic arm in the arsenal of the stranger.
Rift Apart will be the first original part of the series since the release of Nexus in 2013.
In 2016, another game followed, but it was a remake of the original Ratchet & Clank from PlayStation 2. A new project is created exclusively for PlayStation 5 and does not yet have a release date.
