With the release of the Caves & Cliffs update, the developers have added a new region to the game, as well as one of the most powerful mobs – the Overseer. He guards the depths of the new biome, and in particular the Deep Dark caves. Interestingly, the monster is completely blind, but it has a very keen hearing and the ability to echolocate. Thanks to her, he is easily able to determine the location of the player, and attack him.
At the very depths of the caves, the overseers arrange their dwellings, in which many rare and valuable materials can be found. But in order to get to them, you have to fight the mob, or sneak past it silently. The monster is very sensitive to sounds and vibrations, so it should be distracted by various noises, for example, throwing snowballs and other objects to the side. Thus, he can be lured to a convenient place for battle, or simply distracted to pass by.
It should also be borne in mind that if the overseer still hears the player, then he will no longer react to extraneous noises. In this case, it remains only to fight with him. This mob, like the Iron Golem, is incredibly strong. He is able to kill a player with one hit. If the character is wearing netherite armor, then death occurs after the second hit.
As you might guess, it is better to use ranged weapons to defeat the monster. For example, “camping” armed with a bow, or climbing a hill where the Overseer cannot climb. The second option is more preferable, since in many cases the mob lives in not the most spacious places, and it will not be possible to dodge its attacks for a long time.
