GungHo Online Entertainment America announced a release date for its real-time strategy game featuring combat robots. Volta-X will be released on Nintendo Switch and Steam August 12 and will support cross-platform play.
Players will be able to meet in the game regardless of the platform on which they are playing, create joint clans and fight in PvP. Owners of both platforms will also be able to continue playing on either platform.
In Volta-X, players will have to assemble a team of pilots who control giant combat vehicles, with their help rebuild the base and climb the ranks, unlocking all the new types of weapons and opportunities.
The creators of the game will be holding an open access event on August 7-8. During the pre-release preview, players will be able to build their first Volta Robot, discover the beginning of the story, and battle other players online. To take part in it, you need to request a Steam key, as explained on the official website.
