Due to the fact that it is very easy to do this, many viewers very quickly get acquainted with the premieres of various services, and if the rest of the content does not fascinate them, they immediately unsubscribe. Most often, the choice is limited to one or two key projects, after viewing which the cancellation follows.
According to an October poll, 46% of 1,100 people out of 1,100 had abandoned their subscription to an online movie theater six months earlier, although in January this figure was only 20%.
In order to combat the churn of viewers, according to analysts, online cinemas will only have to increase the flow of content and generate new high-profile premieres. Another way would be to tweak the recommendations better, so that viewers are constantly being offered projects of interest.
In other words, the battle for viewer attention among online cinemas will only grow in the future.
