Developers from Riot games released patch 2.09 for a competitive shooter Valorant… The main innovation is the new “Replication” mode, in which all players of the same team play for the same agent.
Replication mode rules:
- The team chooses the agent by voting before the match.
- All skills, except for absolute ones, are discarded in each round. At the start of each round, players receive 1 Ultimate Skill Point (excluding overtime rounds).
- The weapon and shield are discarded each round.
- The number of credits per round is limited regardless of wins and losses.
- If a player is hit by a flash twice within 4 seconds, he gains flash protection (he cannot be blinded for 5 seconds).
- Spike setup, matches up to 5 wins. Round duration: 80 seconds. Pistol round: 45 seconds; subsequent rounds: 30 seconds.
Replication mode will be available until May 25.
In the same patch, the developers added the ability to take tactical pauses in the tournament mode in their own game. Each team can take 2 tactical pauses of 60 seconds per match. During a pause, characters cannot move.
Finally, the authors changed the balance of agents and maps, and also fixed some game bugs.
