Yesterday Remedy Entertainment confirmedthat action Alan wake and Control takes place in the same universe – the company presented at State of play add-on trailer AWEwhere Alan Wake was the narrator.
On the official website, the developers announced that they are already working on their next AAA game, which will also open the door to the larger universe.
“For more than 10 years we have been nurturing a crazy dream. The idea that the stories told in some of our games will relate to each other; a connected world of stories and events with common characters and legends. Each game is a separate project. However, each game is also a doorway to a larger universe with exciting cross-play possibilities, ”says studio creative director Sam Lake.
“Slowly, patiently, behind the scenes, we planned and designed to make them a reality. I am very pleased to inform you that the time has come to take the first concrete step in this direction and create the Remedy Connected Universe. You have no idea how glad I am to finally make this statement. “
The company notes that AWE will be the first official Remedy Connected Universe crossover to add more Alan Wake lore to Control.
“And this is just the beginning. We’re already hard at work on the upcoming Remedy, which also takes place in the same universe, ”concludes Lake.
The second and final Control Story DLC will be released on August 27, 2023.
