Last night took place announcement of the remaster of the first part Crysis. Among other things, he was gladly met by the level designer James cooperwho worked on the game port on the console. He noted that the creation of the sandbox greatly influenced his vision of an open-linear world in Uncharted 4 and later projects in his career.
“I was delighted to hear about Crysis Remastered,” Cooper tweeted. “I have fond memories of working on the original console port. The approach of its developers to the game process in the style of the “sandbox” greatly influenced the design of my “open-linear” levels in Uncharted 4 and subsequent projects. “
To the message, the developer attached several images demonstrating a jeep ride in Crysis, Uncharted 4 and The Lost Legacy. In both cases, the locations could be explored on foot or by car.

As for the game from Crytek, Cooper in it praises not only the graphics, but also the gameplay.
“This is a truly underrated shooter. He was remembered visually, but the key gameplay there is also strong. I am surprised that for more than 10 years not a single shooter has followed his formula, even sequels. “
Crysis remaster will be released on PS4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch this summer. In addition to Crytek and Naughty Dog, James Cooper managed to work at Codemasters and Insomniac Games. In the last he had a hand to the creation of Spider-Man.
