Without giving exact numbers, a representative of Frogwares noted that sales of The Sinking City were better than the results of several previous studio games dedicated to Sherlock Holmes. In addition, an exclusive agreement with Epic games.
“I’m not sure I can disclose the details of the commercial agreement with Epic Games. But, as we said earlier, we would not agree to the terms if they were not critical for our studio. This deal with Epic Games allowed us to prepare for the future and just continue to do what we love to do – niche detective games. As for the next project of the team, its representative did not disclose details, hinting only that the developers are not going to deviate from their usual genre formula.
“I can confirm that we are working on something. However, we are not ready to disclose details yet.
What I can tell you for sure is that the fans know us best from our detective games, and this new game will fit the Frogwares profile – it will become a detective story-based adventure.
But whether it will be a new one about Sherlock, The Sinking City 2 or a project on a new IP – this, unfortunately, I can’t say yet. “
