Ubisoft wins lawsuit against organizers of DDoS attacks on Rainbow Six Siege servers

January 2023 Ubisoft filed a lawsuit against the site SNG.ONE, which allegedly provided services for organizing DDoS attacks on network game servers, including Rainbow six siege

SNG.ONE originally advertised itself as a service for testing firewalls for attacks, however Ubisoft stated that the creators also provided services for organizing DDoS attacks through other sites.

Ubisoft filed a default judgment in February after defendants failed to respond to the lawsuit. This request was granted earlier this month. Now Ubisoft is owed 153 thousand dollars. At the same time, almost 143.5 thousand of them are expenses for lawyers.

The court also ordered the defendants to close the sites and services they operated and transfer control of any relevant domain names to Ubisoft. In addition, they were legally prohibited from interfering with people trying to play Rainbow Six Siege, including violating the integrity, availability or health of the game’s servers.
