To the French court filed a lawsuit against the company Ubisoft… The indictment is on behalf of two former employees of the company and workers’ union Solidaires Informatique. The company is accused of “creating, maintaining and strengthening a system that allows sexual harassment because it is more profitable for the company to keep the bully at work than to protect employees.”
The main defendants include:
- Tommy François, a former vice president of Ubisoft, who allegedly took advantage of his position for a number of harassment;
- Serge Hascoet, the former chief creative officer of Ubisoft, who allegedly persecuted employees himself, and did not interfere with his subordinates;
- Sergei Hascoet’s assistant, who allegedly took full advantage of his proximity to Hascoet;
- Cecile Cornet, a former HR director who allegedly allowed harassment to flourish;
- Several unnamed persons from the personnel department for “active participation in covering up and covering up the actions of the persecutors”;
- Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot simply because “as CEO, he is responsible for what happens internally.”
By the time the lawsuit was filed, most of the employees named as top sexual predators had long since left the company, including of their own free will. Representatives of Solidaires Informatique attribute the delay to the fact that it took them almost a year to collect evidence and form a case.
