French publishing house Ubisoft acquired a majority stake in the German developer of mobile games Kolibri Games. This is stated in the official statement of the press service of the company.
Ubisoft received a controlling stake in the studio. We are talking about a share of 75%, which in the coming years will be brought to 100%.
Berlin-based Kolibri Games studio specializes in the development of shareware incremental games (they are clickers, they are “time killers”, they are also games for the lazy). Her main project is the application Idle Miner tycoon, which have been downloaded over 104 million times.
At the same time, the German team monthly earns more than $ 1.5 million.
“The purchase of Kolibri Games will strengthen our portfolio of incremental games, because the studio is one of the leaders in this segment,” said Ubisoft.
