Yesterday, the network was actively discussed gossip about the new serial number of the series Resident evil. Sources close to the developers were able to share fairly detailed information about the upcoming game, including the main character and several types of enemies. However, according to an insider Dusk golem, all the described developments belong to the now canceled version of Resident Evil 8, the development of which was supposedly completely restarted about six months ago.
Now Dusk Golem cannot confidently say what course Capcom will take when creating the next iteration of the eighth Resident Evil, but he is convinced that at least part of the concepts and ideas from the original version can be adapted for actual development. Or they can be involved in some other form, for example, redirecting to some of the branches, such as subseries Resident evil revelations.
Capcom is currently actively developing a remake Resident evil 3scheduled for release on April 3rd. In turn, about Resident Evil 8, which is most likely a project for next-generation systems, we are unlikely to hear in the near future.
