Twitch sold CurseForge resource to Overwolf game platform – review

Twitch sold Curseforge, the largest gaming custom modification platform. Now the resource will become part of the platform Overwolf, a game application with wide functionality. The transaction amount is not named.
Players will be able to install the new CurseForge application, which can be used both for free and by subscription. So far, the subscription implies the lack of advertising in the application, but the creators are considering how to increase its attractiveness.

CurseForge enters the Overwolf family of applications with all the functionality and a set of mods that were present on Twitch. The existing author reward program will also be retained, although it may also change over time.

The CurseForge resource is known as the largest database of modifications and add-ons for World of warcraft, Minecraft, Starcraft ii, World of tanks, Rift and other games. The transition to a new application will happen in the next couple of months.
