Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin informed citizens about the tightening of quarantine due to the deterioration of the sanitary-epidemiological situation in the city. The Governor of the Moscow Region also took the same step. Andrey Vorobiev.
As explained by Sobyanin, thanks to measures taken by the state, it was possible to minimize the contacts of residents with each other, and movement around the capital decreased by three times. However, not all citizens seriously take the global threat that the countries of Europe and the USA have already felt.
Given this, the Moscow City Hall approved a new decree on additional measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection COVID-2019. The document will have a significant impact on the daily life of the population.
What does the document say?
Starting from March 30, absolutely for ALL residents of Moscow, the home regime of self-isolation becomes mandatory. Moreover, in the near future a checkpoint system will be introduced, and citizens will be able to move freely only with a special permit.
In the next few days, the authorities will establish a smart system for monitoring the movements of citizens. The authorities will tell about what punishments violators will be in the near future.
“Gradually, but steadily, we will tighten the controls necessary in this situation,” Sobyanin explained.
As for the previously imposed restrictions on the operation of public transport, the mayor’s office extended for nine days the validity of tickets for passengers who will not make any trips from March 28 to April 5, 2023. Student and school tickets also promise to renew after minimizing high availability.
The Muscovites who are left without work will be able to claim benefits in the amount of 19.5 thousand rubles per month, which will be assigned automatically and without applications.
What is allowed, what is forbidden?
Leaving your apartment or house is allowed in the following cases:
- if emergency medical care is needed;
- if there is a direct threat to life and health;
- if you need to go to the nearest store or pharmacy;
- if you need to take out the trash;
- if you need to walk pets (it is allowed to leave the house at a distance of no more than 100 meters);
- if a person is obliged to go to work;
- if a person is on the street, in a store, public transport, and so on, then he should not approach other citizens closer than 1.5 meters (does not apply to taxi rides).
The management of shops, pharmacies and other organizations are required to tighten the access regime and monitor compliance with the distance between people.
Citizens with a mild form of coronavirus infection will be treated at home and will be given access to free antiviral drugs. Medical staff will also have access to free medicines, and ambulance crews, clinic staff, and volunteers will be responsible for the delivery.
“The measures introduced today are absolutely necessary. But the effectiveness of these measures to curb the spread of infection depends on the behavior of each of us. Take care of yourself and your neighbors. Please stay at home,” the Moscow Mayor added.
And what about the suburbs?
In the suburbs also introduced similar rules and restrictions. The differences are as follows:
- from April 1, 2023, unemployed people will be able to claim benefits in the amount of 15 thousand rubles;
- it is allowed to leave the house in nearby stores, for essential goods, a bank and a communications salon.
