The series, which begins as a curious criticism of the problems of Japanese society with an interesting narrative, turns into something completely different for the last two episodes. The subgenre of the so-called “survival games” is something that you will not surprise anyone for a long time. And over the past years, we have seen many different works of art, trying to adapt the ill-fated theme. The mere idea of fitting two original novels into 12 episodes should give you a clear hint of what to expect from this anime. Characters are spontaneously introduced into the plot, after a second they die, and it is unknown what is happening on the screen. We turn off the brain, take friends to the company and enjoy the sight.
Tokyo Ghoul / Tokyo Ghoul
If we are talking about bloody showdowns and intricate plots, then you just can not help but mention the “Tokyo Ghoul.” There is an interesting setting and a juicy picture, which, however, is pulled down by the central character, who is constantly taking the most ridiculous decisions leading to the expected consequences. But if you miss emo culture, love sexy vampires in tight suits and are very puzzled by superficial existential questions, then you simply must familiarize yourself with this title.
Highschool of the Dead / School of the Dead
“The School of the Dead” is an anime where one of the heroines fights off a crowd of zombies with a wooden sword, while dodging sniper shots in slow motion, one of which sweeps between her breasts, which does not obey any laws of physics. Before us is a love letter to the grindhouse – violence, sex and no shame. It’s not very interesting to follow the characters, but who cares?
