A player from China invented his own “microtransaction system” in a life simulator Animal Crossing: New Horizons. An ingenious resident of China created in a hit project for Nintendo switch a whole economic model, which is based on the sale of custom in-game items designed by him by order of other players.
According to the analyst Daniel Ahmad, an entrepreneurial Chinese player opened a store on his virtual island, where he puts up for sale items created in the user design editor through QR codes associated with Chinese payment services AliPay and Wechat pay.

It is worth noting that in the game itself there are no Nintendo microtransactions, so the Chinese decision is unlikely to please the company. The expert predicts that she will find a way to “cover the shop.”
