Caring fans Ubisoft launched a new petition on the website Change.org… They ask the French publisher to reconsider its attitude towards the monetization of the historical action franchise Assassin’s creed, namely, to abandon all sorts of microtransactions that appeared in the latest installments of the series and “reached the climax in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.”
The organizer of the initiative, who introduced himself as Connor, urged Ubisoft refuse in the following parts Assassin’s creed from the in-game store and premium currency, focusing on the creation of ready-made projects and their free post-release support.
The user doubts the need for microtransactions in a completely single-player game and considers it incorrect to have situations in which any content is not available to buyers who do not want to pay extra money. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, for example, is regularly replenished with paid cosmetic items, and there are only nine basic costumes in the base game. Free support is called “sluggish”.
“The Assassin’s Creed brand is like a micropayment brand. No paid items appearing in the store are available to Season Pass customers.”
The fan believes that in pursuit of money, Ubisoft can “cross the line”, after which Assassin’s Creed will begin to be perceived by the masses as something created “to pump out money.” He believes that the developers will solve half of the problem if at least they will allow you to receive premium items for completing certain tasks.
