At the moment, the last game in the main series is The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, released in 2015. It was she who brought worldwide fame to the franchise and made the main contribution to the announced sales figure – as of the end of 2019, more than 28 million copies of Wild Hunt were sold.
In fact, last year was for “The Witcher 3” the second most successful in terms of sales since the release of the game in 2015. This was largely facilitated by the release of Wild Hunt on the Nintendo Switch and the premiere of the series from Netflix, immediately after the release of which interest in the game woke up with renewed vigor.
CD Projekt RED is currently preparing for release Cyberpunk 2077. After him, the studio will return to The Witcher, possibly with a game about Ciri in the title role.
