According to Deadline, Netflix closed the fantasy series “Damned”reimagining the legend of King Arthur after one season.
The series was based on the book Tom Wheeler and Frank Miller, and the story about Arthur and Merlin was presented from the point of view of the Lady of the Lake. The main role in the show was played by Katherine Langford of “13 reasons why”… The first season premiered on July 17 last year.
According to sources, the project was closed “quietly” and the actors were released from contracts. For the most part, the series received restrained reviews from critics and negative ones from ordinary viewers.
Ironically, the cancellation of the sequel became known in parallel to the exhibition of another fantasy series Netflix – “The Witcher”, whose second season will be released on December 17th.
