Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Katie Najimi return to their central roles, with Anne Fletcher (“Sentence”).
The original picture of 1993 told about three witches who returned from the afterlife 300 years after their own execution. They were going to eat all the children in the city in order to become forever young, but young heroes, as well as modern (at that time) technology, stood in their way.
Judging by the plot of the sequel, the victory of the characters over the witches in the first film was not final – the sisters are brought back to life again, only three young girls are now the culprits.
The first film flopped at the box office, grossing just over $ 39 million on a budget of $ 28 million, but eventually gained cult status.
