Go on Board CD Projekt RED announced The Witcher: Old World – a new board game based on The Witcher, which takes place long before the time of the story of Geralt of Rivia.
The Witcher: Old World is described as a competitive RPG adventure with a team of two to five people… In Old World, players will take on the role of professional monster slayers who have recently completed their brutal training in one of the witch schools: Wolf, Snake, Cat, Bear or Griffin. On their adventures across the continent, young witchers will have to make difficult decisions, make contracts, fight monsters, and even fight other witchers to protect the honor of their school. The game designer was Lukasz Wozniak, author of “Valhalla” and “Titans” board games.
The Witcher: Old World crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter starts in May of this year and will provide an opportunity to significantly affect the content of the game and the stories told in it. At the moment it is planned to release the game in English and Polish, but negotiations on localization into other languages are already underway.
The Witcher: Old World is scheduled to release in April 2023…
