the prequel series “Batman” is largely dedicated to Jim Gordon – Igromania

Screenwriter Ed Brubaker in a new interview, he mentioned that the upcoming prequel series “Batman” will devote a lot to Jim Gordon

Brubaker not only worked on film and television projects, including “World of the Wild West”, but also acted as a famous comic book author. Among them was a series Gotham central about the cops of Gotham, the plot of which was supposed to form the basis of the upcoming series.

But according to Brubaker, the upcoming project is tightly linked to the film, and the plot should focus on Jim Gordon, played by Jeffrey Wright from the same “Wild West”. Presumably, the story will tell about how Gordon started working in law enforcement or something similar.

Brubaker also said that the series was originally intended to be a direct adaptation of the comic. “Gotham”, however, at the last moment the concept was changed without giving a reason. Judging by the words of the showrunner Bruno Heller, the studio insisted on this, as he also wanted to create a direct adaptation of the original.

Responsible for the script of the new series Joe Barton (“Duty / Shame”) – previously one of the authors left the project due to creative differences “The Sopranos” and “Underground Empire” Terence Winter

There is no exact date for the premiere yet, but the project itself will be released on HBO Max.
