The owner of NaVi bought the Dnipro hotel and will turn it into an e-sports center – Igromania

The other day in the capital of Ukraine, an auction was held, during which the hotel changed its owner “Dnieper“On Khreshchatyk. It was bought for 1.1 billion hryvnia by the Ukrainian company “Smartland“. As it turned out, she is only part of a large project.

Alexander Kokhanovsky, founder of the country’s most successful esports team Natus Vincere, explained that in his plans – “make Kiev the Mecca of world e-sports, and bring Ukraine closer in level to South Korea and the United States“.

Within five years, the Dnipro hotel will turn into a multifunctional e-sports arena with training zones, an e-sports stage, rooms for professional players and a wonderful recreation area. It will invest about $ 20 million.

Over time, similar complexes will be created in other cities of the country. The plans also include the creation of the Academy of eSports, the holding of the Championship of Ukraine, the Cup of Ukraine, school and student leagues, and the departments of eSports will be opened in the leading universities of Ukraine.
