Team Obsidian Entrtainment currently busy with a big fantasy RPG Avowed and continues to develop a survival simulator in early access Groundedhowever, it looks like these are not the studio’s only projects.
A job listing posted by Obsidian revealed the development of an unannounced open-world RPG.
This, in particular, is mentioned in an open vacancy for a leading technical artist. The studio is looking for an experienced specialist, who will join the RPG development team to help build the game world for an unannounced project… The position requires a solid understanding of the challenges of creating an open world in Unreal Engine 4… The selected candidate will lead and organize the work of other technical artists, as well as interact with the art director, technical director, game director, and production designers.
What this project is is not yet clear, but it is mentioned that it is being developed for consoles and PCs. Perhaps we are talking about a sequel The outer worlds – last year, insiders reported that the project is at the pre-production stage.
