The original presentation of Resistance: Burning Skies – Igromania appeared on the network

The original presentation of the spin-off appeared on the network Resistance for PS Vitawhich came out on the platform in 2012.

Initially Resistance: Burning Skies was called Resistance: Homefront, and for the first time it was presented in October 2009 – 2.5 years before the full release, and many things from the presentation really ended up in the final version.

Responsible for the development Nihilistic Softwarewho were engaged Call of Duty: Black Ops – Declassified – the studio, by the way, was closed in the same 2012.

The authors planned that the game will be one of the first projects for the PS Vita at the launch of the console. As it happened in the end, the player takes on the role of a firefighter from New Jersey, who begins to fight against the invading aliens.

The story is set in 1951 and shows the origins of the “resistance.” In the latter, the rescue of civilians was supposed to help, when the player’s level of heroism forced them to either run or hide. For saving lives, awards were given out and, by the way, the game had multiplayer for eight.

The presentation also talks about special features of the Vita – such as the ability to switch menus by touching the screen, throw grenades using the same technique, and also use the console itself to “peek around the corner.”

Moreover, it seems that the developers were trying to demonstrate this technique through a monitor glued to the PS3 controller. In addition, the authors assumed that upon receipt of the trophy, it would be possible to send your photos to Facebook etc.
