Capcom held another show on Monster hunter, where she shared the nearest updates for Rise and presented the third trailer Stories 2: Wings of Ruin…
Most of the attention was paid to Rise – the developers shared the details of tomorrow’s patch 2.0, with which new monsters like Hameleo, Diablos, Ratalos, Teostra and Kushalo Deora will appear in the game. In addition, Apex creatures will now start spawning in regular quests, and there will be more of them as well.
Other innovations include new timed quests, solo adventures, story missions, and gear. However, the Rise ending will not appear until a month later with update 3.0.
Also, after the release of Update 2.0, the ability to change the appearance of the hero will become a paid add-on, although until now it was a completely free option.
In the fresh trailer for Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, along with a new portion of gameplay and plot frames, they presented a turn-based combat system – which jRPG would do without it.
The main types of attacks (strength, speed and technique) will return from the first part, and for each monster you will have to select the appropriate weapons, elemental and skills. As in traditional Monster Hunter, hunters are better off learning about the traits and habits of monsters before battles.
The game will be released on July 2 on Nintendo Switch and PC.
