Organizer and host of The Game Awards Jeff Keighley hosted a live broadcast today, during which the nominees for the 2023 award were announced.
The largest number of awards is claimed by The Last of Us: Part II – project Naughty dog announced in nine nominations, including “Game of the Year”where he will fight Animal Crossing: New Horizons, DOOM Eternal, Final Fantasy VII Remake, Ghost of Tsushima and Hades.
The second and third places in the number of nominations were taken by Hades and Ghost of tsushima – they will compete for eight and seven statuettes, respectively. The Final Fantasy VII remake comes in five categories.

The winners of The Game Awards 2023 will be determined by a mixed vote between a professional jury (90%) and user choice (10%). Results will be summed up live December 10th… Also, as part of the event, traditionally, musical performances and world premieres of new games are expected.
