Due to the coronavirus pandemic and the introduction of an emergency regime in Japan, public baths and onsen baths, natural hot springs, which are very popular, have closed in many places across the country. Owners of hotels and resort places, on the basis of which there are such places for bathing, asked clients not to be upset and offered a new pleasant way to relax – plunge into a bath with a virtual reality helmet on your head at home and run a unique VR-shot by a professional operator in onsen baths video.
“Users will be able to hear the sounds of a pleasant wind circling above an open-air source, see cherry petals soaring in the air and enjoy the sound of water. To fully familiarize yourself with the video, you will need a virtual reality headset,” the article says.
Using a helmet in water carries a certain risk, but if you exercise caution, nothing bad will happen, experts say.
“We heard that many people spend their time at home playing games, so we thought that the number of users of VR devices would only grow,” said the author of the idea, Kazushige Kanai.
“We want to increase the number of facilities involved in the project and introduce people around the world to the healing power of Arima Onsen’s hot springs.”
The first “healing VR videos” from onsen baths are already available on a special channel.
The popularity of VR in Japan is slowly but steadily increasing every year. Demonstrations of new products in the erotic industry regularly cause a stir.
