Independent developer Alessandro Guzzo (Alessandro Guzzo) presented to gamers his project in the genre of survival horror on the powerful graphics engine CryEngine, Gamebomb.ru reports. He called his first-person horror movie The Alien Cube. When it was created, he was inspired by the works of the writer Howard Lovecraft, who created the universe of Cthulhu. The plot of the game tells about Arthur, living alone. He witnesses the fall of an alien spaceship, after which his life changes dramatically and turns into a nightmare.
The Alien Cube is scheduled for release in 2023, but there is no more accurate date yet, Gamebomb.ru reports. The developer offers players absolutely free to download the demo of the game on the official page on Steam. Only part of the plot is available in it, but it will allow players to penetrate the sinister atmosphere of horror and understand the basic game mechanics. The player will survive in harsh weather conditions, solve puzzles and explore frightening locations. The atmosphere of horror will provide graphics on the CryEngine engine using photogrammetry technology, as well as high-quality sounds of the surrounding world.
The Alien Cube is a sequel to The Land of Pain. Arthur is the nephew of the protagonist of the first developer project. He will reveal the gloomy secrets of his uncle. The Land of Pain is now on sale at a great discount.
