The gameplay of Prophecy, the canceled game of the authors of inFamous and Ghost of Tsushima, has leaked to the network – Igromania

Studio Sucker punch after inFamous: Second Son and before Ghost of tsushimaseems to have worked on another game – mentioning the project with a working title Prophecy found in the portfolio of former senior artist Max Chapman.

His believe his website, now a specialist works in NCSoft (although LinkedIn still lists Sucker Punch), it’s not just the mention of the canceled game that is more interesting, but the 11-minute vertical slice – a short demo of all the features for guidance.

In this segment, you can see a full-fledged game segment, where the developers show a dirty fictional world, a hermit protagonist and opponents. The setting is a bit like The Order 1886 and A Plague’s Tale: Innocence

At the same time, the demonstrated combat system in many ways resembles the Ghost of Tsushima released the other day, so it seems that although the “Prophecy” was canceled, but some of the developments were still used.

Apparently, the vertical slice was ready in January 2016, but as a result the game was canceled and, apparently, after that Sucker Punch completely focused on Ghost of Tsushima. The samurai action game was announced in October 2017 and was released in July 2023.
