Company Bethesda reported on the death of Robert Altman, founder and permanent CEO of the company ZeniMax Media… The reasons are not reported, but his family mentions the health problems that have plagued him in recent years. He was 74 years old.
Altman began his career as a lawyer. But in 1999 he founded ZeniMax Media with Christopher Weaver. The company was created as a successor Media Technology Limited, at the time the parent company of Bethesda.
In 2023, ZeniMax Media, along with all assets, including Bethesda Softworks, was acquired Microsoft… The deal will come into effect in the second half of 2023.
According to Bethesda, Altman was an incredibly creative person and a true leader. During the pandemic and the forced isolation, he sent out weekly emails to all employees to keep them feeling connected to the company.
