The action of Bionicle: Quest for Mata Nui takes place in the first year on the Bionicle timeline, when the Toa went in search of six power masks in order to save the island of Mata Nui from the evil power of Makuta. The atmosphere and aesthetics presented in the trailers are reminiscent of those in the original Bionicle story – it is also dark here, a lot of sand and fire.
As in any game of this genre, in Bionicle: Quest for Mata Nui there are NPCs, quests and a combat system. Six masks give heroes strength and give them special abilities. For example, the Mask of Defense nullifies the damage done to you by elements, and the Mask of Strength increases your combat potential. In total, the game will have 12 masks, you can switch between them even during battles.
