It is reported that the Russian woman became infected with the coronavirus while on the Diamond Princess cruise ship, which is quarantined off the coast of Japan. This was announced from the official Twitter account of the Russian Embassy in Japan, Gamebomb.ru notes. It is noted that a Russian woman infected with a deadly coronavirus was discovered during a medical examination of cruise ship passengers by the Japanese authorities. In the near future, a Russian citizen will be taken to a hospital, where she will receive the necessary treatment.
It should be noted that on the cruise ship Diamond Princess, located off the coast of Japan in the port of Yokohama, the number of people infected with the coronavirus has reached 459 people. In total, there are 2,666 passengers on board, 24 of whom are Russians, as well as 1,045 crew members. The distributor of the infection was an 80-year-old passenger, who, like the rest of the elderly passengers, was removed from the ship. The remaining guests must remain on the liner for 14 days quarantine.
