It is not yet known how widely the film will be shown, but its official title has already been announced: “Demon Slayer: Infinity Train“. Its premiere is scheduled for May 20.
The film appeared in the Japanese box office in October 2023 and grossed a record amount: almost $ 430 million. This made it the highest-grossing Japanese film, previously the title of “Spirited Away” Hayao Miyazaki.
The Kimetsu no Yaiba manga, Demon Slaying Blade, began publishing in 2016 and premiered in 2019 as an anime adaptation. The second season of the animated series is due out this year.
The main character of the anime, Tanjiro Kamado, loses his entire family. Only Nezuko’s sister survived, but she turned into a demon. Tanjiro decides to join the demon hunters to find a way to make his sister human again. Fortunately, she managed to retain some of her consciousness.
