Richie will not only write the script, but also direct and take on the production responsibilities for the project… There are currently no details on whether the series will continue the events of the original tape or retell the original story. It is also not yet known whether any of the cast of the film will return to it.
It is noteworthy that initially “Gentlemen” was conceived as a series before being redesigned for the format of a full-length movie. The plot of the film tells about the American expatriate Mickey Pearson, who mastered the successful business of growing and marketing marijuana in London. However, when it becomes known that an entrepreneur wants to retire, a whirlpool of events starts around him with conspiracies, schemes, bribery and blackmail in an attempt to steal his business from him.
The main roles in the picture were performed Matthew McConaughey, Charlie Hunnam, Hugh grant, Jeremy Strong, Colin Farrell and others. With a budget of $ 22 million, Gentlemen grossed over $ 115 million worldwide.
