Administration Twitch forever banned a former employee on the streaming platform Sledgehammer games Guy Bimawho is known by his nickname Dr disrespect. At the same time, the streamer was an official partner of the service.
Beam’s channel has been removed, but the reasons for this are not officially disclosed. However, there are hints from other sources. how told insider Rod Breslow and interlocutors of the publication Kotaku, the ban is life-long, which indicates the seriousness of the situation.
Fatter hints left streamer Shannon Plante (Shannonzkiller), which claims that Dr Disrespect’s career is completely buried and that he will not be able to work on other streaming venues.
Bim himself did not comment on the situation, his last entry in Twitter dated June 25th.
Guy Bim is an extremely scandalous figure in the streamer community. He has already been banned once on Twitch due to an incident on E3 2019. Then the streamer went to the toilet of the Los Angeles Exhibition Center, recording everything on a video camera.
It is possible that what is happening is associated with a new wave of movement activity #MeToo. A number of bloggers and streamers, as well as the management team of Twitch, were hit.
At the same time, do not forget that during the broadcast of 2017, Dr Disrespect publicly admitted to cheating on his wife. There is also an unconfirmed rumor on the Web that Bim was having an affair with a popular streamer at the time, who was allegedly using blackmail to try to knock out a more profitable contract from Twitch, threatening to publish incriminating evidence.
There is an alternative version, which consists in the fact that Dr Disrespect secretly negotiated with a competing site, while being an official partner of Twitch. The streamer itself has previously criticized platform policy.
The problem also is that due to the imminent closure Mixer the Twitch platform will actually receive a monopoly on gaming broadcasts in the world. YouTube already out of the race, curtailing the game direction, and with Facebook many streamers dissatisfied with politics refuse to work Mark Zuckerberg and scandals surrounding the leak of personal data.
In addition, the Twitch rules stipulate that the administration can block any account without explanation.
