The cult horror film “Mutants” from Guillermo Del Toro will receive a TV adaptation

Company Miramax Television launched into production a TV adaptation of the cult sci-fi horror film “Mutants“(Mimic) 1997 release. According to the publication Deadline, the pilot episode of the series will remove Paul W.C. Anderson (“Mortal Kombat“,”resident Evil“), and his longtime colleague Jeremy Bolt will take the position of producer.

The script for the TV adaptation will write Jim Gray (“Orange is the new black“), who will also act as a showrunner.

The original 1997 painting was based on the story of the same name Donald WallheimMimicry“and told about artificially created insects capable of evolving and imitating the appearance of other creatures, including humans.

The approximate release date of the series has not yet been announced.
