In October 2017, Disney gave a gift to fans of the classic pieces Star Wars: Battlefront from Pandemic Studios, bringing back to life the multiplayer of the second part.
And yesterday, the developers unexpectedly released another update for the cult shooter. According to the patch notes, the patch “fixes a number of issues with graphics resolution and controller support in the game.” Users who have already tested the updated game found that the update reworked the menu to allow navigation with a controller, which was previously impossible on a PC, and added UI scaling at higher resolutions.
However, along with this, many elements of the shooter for some reason turned out to be broken.… Controller support does not work in all menus, functions in certain modes, such as class changes in the middle of the game and some strategic options in mode Galactic conquest, now they do not work with any input method, compatibility with many mods has been broken, and pressing the Print Screen button leads to a complete crash of the client. And these are just some of the known problems.
In the thread discussing the new patch on the forums Steam several dozen pages with similar messages were accumulated per day… Due to numerous complaints, the developers had to roll back the game to the previous version.
Representative GOG, where the patch for Star Wars: Battlefront II also came out, said in a comment for Eurogamer that the update was received from Lucasfilm Games… After studying user reviews and consulting with the publisher, the store also withdrew the update.
