The authors of Factorio are preparing a major addition – Igromania

Full release took place last August Factorio… And now the creators of the game talked about what awaits it in the future. Version 1.1 will remain final, although patches, modder additions and minor improvements will be released regularly.

The developers are not going to make a lot of small additions and do not plan to take on Factorio 2because they are completely satisfied with what they have achieved and do not want to give up many years of experience in order to make a new part.

However, the studio has already begun work on a major expansion. So far, she is not ready to disclose what it will be about, as development is expected to take about a year and may still change.

Finally, they shared with us various figures from the eight-year history of Factorio development.

  • Work on the game lasted 3233 days;
  • Factorio 856 has 800 lines of code, 2,340,804 words, and 35,216,019 characters, all of which will take up 70 regular books;
  • 8688 bugs were fixed, and these are only those that were reported on the forums;
  • Steam-Players have spent 38,870 years in the game;
  • It has sold over 2.5 million copies.
