The authors of American Truck Simulator introduced a new feature: Viewpoint - review

Studio SCS Software going to release an addition Idaho to your simulator American truck simulator. And for him, the developers have prepared a small, but very atmospheric function: Viewpoint (“point of view”).

As the studio explains, artists and game designers spend a lot of time creating beautiful and realistic cities, villages and other locations. But often the places, which took months to “build”, players fly by in seconds, without even having time to make out.

To give them the opportunity to enjoy the game world, the Viewpoint function has been created. In some places in Idaho, players can launch an in-game video showing nearby attractions. You can find them by the green 3D-icon of the camera or by the purple star in the GPS-advisor.

So far this is just an experiment. But if it is successful, the developers will think about how to expand it to the entire game world and add more features. For example, let you re-run reviews of already visited places and add educational elements to them.

American Truck Simulator – Idaho add-on should appear in Steam in July, the exact date has not yet been announced. After that, the developers plan to take up the add-on dedicated to the state of Colorado.
