Even the CEO of Gearbox Randy Pitchford boasted about the number of simultaneous players and compared it to previous Borderlands games on PC.
But the exact sales figure for the platform has not been published. Now thanks to the PlayTracker tracker using data from the Epic Games development team and the XBOX API data for PCs, the network has sample information about sales of the store’s most popular games, including Borderlands 3.
By given Playtracker Borderlands 3 about 2 million copies were sold in EGS, and the second line with a rather large margin was the cooperative shooter World War Z – just over 1 million copies.
