Technical analysis: Experts calculated the resolution and speed of The Last of Us: Part II on PS4 and PS4 Pro

Channel Vg tech published benchmarking performance The Last of Us: Part II on consoles Playstation 4 and Playstation 4 pro. The release version of the game with the first day patch 1.02 was checked.

Resolution:

On both consoles, the picture is rendered in constant resolution. In the case of ordinary Ps4 it’s native 1080p (1920 x 1080 pixels) whereas on PS4 Pro the game works in 1440p (2560 x 1440 pixels) and reduces the resolution to 1080p when displaying images on ordinary TVs with forced shutdown of system supersampling.

Work speed:

The Last of Us 2 stably shows 30 frames per second most of the time on both the PS4 Pro and PS4. IN In the above test, framerate drawdowns were recorded only two times: during a battle indoors with a lot of debate and in an action scene with a car. Both times, FPS dropped to 26-27 frames on both consoles. There is no higher frame rate mode for the PS4 Pro.
