HBO published a teaser “Perry Mason“- a new mini-series about the famous literary hero of detectives Earl Gardner.
The story of the character was filmed several times throughout the story – in the form of both series and films. And both in the United States and in the domestic field.
The action of the new mini-series will unfold in the 1930s, when Mason was still working as a private detective, and not as a defense lawyer. The hero has to solve a major matter that can help him atone for his sins, but at the same time exposes the gloomy face of the city.
The main role is played by Matthew Reese (“Mowgli”), in addition to him in the project are removed: John Lithgow, Tatyana Maslani, Robert Patrick and many others.
Screenwriters are Rolin Jones (“Underground Empire”) and Ron Fitzgerald (“The Lights of Friday Night”). Robert Downey Jr. assumed the functions of executive producer.
The project starts at HBO 21st of June.
