On the portal GTA Forums there was information that the publishing house Take-two charged the creators of a number of popular custom modifications for copyright infringement. First of all, mods that add cards to games were hit. GTA III, GTA: Vice city and GTA: San Andreas

Among the now banned mods:

  • GTA: Underground for San Andreas, for which a major update was being prepared;
  • GTA: Liberty City for Vice City, released about 15 years ago;
  • GTA State of Libertywhich appeared in 2007;
  • GTAV San Andreasreleased three years ago;
  • Vice cry for Vice City, in which textures and models are simply replaced with better ones;
  • Liberty City Stories: PC Edition for San Andreas, released 13 years ago;
  • Vice City Stories: PC Edition for San Andreas, a mod from eight years ago.

A number of modders have already announced that they are thinking about the termination of activities. The reasons for the sudden attention to global modifications are not reported. However, optimists believe that these actions were taken before the announcement of remasters or remakes of GTA III, Vice City and San Andreas.
