Switch beat Xbox 360, 35 million copies of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and more – review addiction

Nintendo reported for the fourth quarter of the last financial year, as well as for the entire year as a whole. By March 31, 2023, the Switch family of consoles had surpassed the Xbox 360 in sales (84 million).

Nintendo also updated the sales data for its games. The company notes that 36 Switch games, including 14 third-party games, sold over a million copies in the past fiscal year.

  • Super Smash Bros. Ultimate – 23.84 million copies
  • The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – 22.28 million copies
  • Pokemon Sword / Pokemon Shield – 21.10 million copies
  • Super Mario Odyssey – 20.83 million copies
  • Super Mario Party – 14.79 million copies
  • Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! / Pokemon: Let’s Go, Eevee! – 13.28 million copies
  • Splatoon 2 – 12.21 million copies
  • New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe – 10.44 million copies

In the current fiscal year, which ends March 31, 2023, the company expects to sell 25.5 million Switch consoles (-11.5%) and 190 million games (-17.7%).

  • Pikmin 3 Deluxe – 2.04 million copies
  • Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition – 1.52 million copies
