An upcoming multi-platform action RPG Cyberpunk 2077 works great on all platforms, even basic PS4 and Xbox One. About this the president and CEO of the Polish studio CD Projekt RED Adam Kichinsky said in an interview with investors during a fresh report on the company’s financial activities for the third quarter of this year.
Over the past weeks, the developers have released several gameplay videos showcasing versions of the highly anticipated project for Xbox One X and Xbox Series X, PS5 and PS4 Pro, but how does the game work on basic Playstation 4 and Xbox one, the authors have not shown us so far. This makes a lot of users nervous.
However, according to Kichinski, owners of standard PS4 and Xbox One should not worry – the game works perfectly on all available platforms, including the weakest… He did not provide additional details, but did mention that the latest transfer has greatly improved the performance of the game.
“Some time ago, we showed the gameplay of a PS4 game [Pro] and PS5. I guess you saw the difference. “
“The PS5 is great. The PS4 Pro is still good enough. In this final phase, with three extra weeks, we made significant progress.”
“We are convinced that the game works great on every platform. Of course, given the various constraints, things won’t go smoothly everywhere.”
According to Kicinski, fans won’t be upset.
“Of course, the performance on the baseline consoles of the previous generation will be slightly worse than in the case of the Pro versions of the game (we are talking about the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X), but overall Cyberpunk 2077 performs surprisingly well there.”
It is likely that CD Projekt RED will never reveal official gameplay for the standard PS4 and Xbox One models prior to its release. On December 10, fans will be able to check how well the Poles have worked on all versions.
