The network noticed that on the Canadian streaming service Crave a 23-minute animated short film suddenly became available for viewing Ratchet & Clank: Life of Pie… Until today, there have been no advertisements or announcements about it.
Based on the official synopsis posted on Crave’s website, Life of Pie is set in advance of the upcoming game. Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart for PS5 and talk about how, during an intergalactic flight for pizza, Ratchet and Clank accidentally witness the use of Dr. Nefarius’s latest malicious invention – the portalizer. In the course of the events of the short film, the fearless duo decides to steal the weapon and lock it in the Museum of Galactic City in order to protect the multiverse from destruction by the mad scientists.
The credits indicate that the animation was created back in 2019 by Mainframe Studios, responsible for the cartoon. “Ratchet & Clank: Galactic Rangers“Users speculate that it could have been done either to promote Rift Apart or as a pilot episode for the series, but again, Sony has not officially announced anything about this at the moment.
